We would like to inform you that a modern screening test is available in OLYMP CDL. The test will help to determine the risk of a baby with chromosome abnormalities - Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT).

Advantages:

• Fetal DNA recoverable from the mother’s blood is tested
• Intrauterine intervention is not required, i.e. it is non-invasive and therefore completely safe
• Availablity from 10 weeks of pregnancy
• High confidence level of 99%
• Wide range of conditions tested: probability of the most frequent trisomies (Down, Edwards, Patau), sex chromosome status, risks of microdeletions (loss of small sections of chromosomes) and the most common genetic mutations of the mother.

In what cases is NIPT indicated?

• If at the time of pregnancy, the woman’s age is more than 35 years old
• If there is a high risk based on the results of the first biochemical screening
• If there is a family history of birth of children with congenital malformations, chromosomal and genetic disorders
• Any pregnant woman who wishes to rule out chromosomal abnormalities in the fetus

Biomaterial: venous blood of mother, available from 10 weeks of pregnancy.

Timeframe for the results report: 8-10 working days.

Preparation requirements: No special preparation is required.
