Staphylococcal enterotoxin A (S.aureus), m80
Patients with atopic dermatitis (AD) are often colonized by Staphylococcus aureus (S.a) strains secreting exotoxins such as Staphylococcus enterotoxins, enterotoxins A, B, C, D, E and toxic shock syndrome toxin (SEA, SEB, SEC, SED, SEE and TSST), where SEA and SEB they are the most important ones involved in the synthesis of IgE.
S.a is located on the surface of the skin, and it is believed that the secreted toxins enter the skin through skin lesions in BA.
The density of S.a colonies in skin lesions is 100-1000 times higher than in normal skin areas in patients with ABP. In addition, a significantly higher frequency of colonies is found on the externally normal skin of patients with atopic dermatitis compared to the skin of healthy people. It is reported that the prevalence of S.a colonization in children with asthma is 93%, which is comparable to that in adults.
The determination of specific IgE in human blood to - Enterotoxin A (S.aureus), m80, shows the body's reaction to this allergen.
