Consultation on ready histological specimens
Consultation of prepared histological specimens is a service involving the review and expert evaluation of previously prepared histological slides and paraffin blocks.
The examination is performed by a pathologist to confirm, clarify, or revise a morphological diagnosis.
The consultation may be recommended in complex clinical cases, before initiating treatment or surgical intervention, or to obtain a second expert opinion. If necessary, additional testing methods, including immunohistochemistry (IHC), may be recommended.
