Lamb's-quarters (Goosefoot, Chenopodium album) is a wind-pollinated annual plant, usually growing up to 0.1-1.5 m in height. The pollination period of this plant usually begins in July and lasts until September. Goosefoot plants can produce about 20,000 pollen grains per season. This plant is mainly found in shrubby burning areas, cultivated fields, desert pastures, juniper-pine forests, pastures, and cleared spaces. This species (album Chenopodium) is considered to originate from Eurasia; however, it is currently naturalized throughout North America. 
Pollen from this plant can cause allergic conditions such as conjunctivitis, allergic rhinitis, and asthma.
