Detection of IgM antibodies to Hepatitis D virus (HDV) in serum by ELISA
IgM antibodies to Hepatitis D virus (HDV) are laboratory markers of acute infection and the active phase of the disease. The test is used for the diagnosis of acute hepatitis D and in cases of suspected co-infection or superinfection in patients with hepatitis B virus infection.
