Acute Respiratory Viral Infection (ARVI) Panel

The Acute Respiratory Viral Infection (ARVI) Panel is a laboratory test designed to detect the most common viruses that cause acute respiratory infections. The test helps determine the viral nature of the disease and identify its causative agent, enabling the physician to select the optimal patient management strategy.

Detects the following infections:

  • RNA of influenza A and B viruses;
  • RNA of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV);
  • RNA of human metapneumovirus;
  • RNA of parainfluenza viruses;
  • RNA of coronaviruses other than COVID-19;
  • RNA of rhinovirus;
  • DNA of adenovirus;
  • DNA of human bocavirus.

The ARVI Panel helps to:

  • identify the viral causative agent of the disease;
  • determine the treatment strategy;
  • promptly consider antiviral therapy in cases of influenza;
  • avoid the unnecessary prescription of antibiotics;
  • assess the need for isolation and preventive measures;
  • reduce the risk of complications through timely diagnosis.
