  • Suspected Wilson’s disease, particularly in patients under 40 with liver involvement or neurological symptoms. 
  • Liver diseases of unclear origin, including chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, and steatohepatitis. 
  • Neurological and psychiatric disorders – tremor, dystonia, dysarthria, depression, and cognitive impairments.
  • Kayser-Fleischer ring – detected during ophthalmologic examination. 
  • Hemolytic anemia – when copper accumulation is suspected as a contributing factor.
  • Family history of Wilson’s disease – screening of relatives of an affected patient.
  • Treatment monitoring – follow-up of patients receiving therapy for Wilson’s disease
