"Diabetes Diagnostic" Profile
A comprehensive set of laboratory tests designed to assess carbohydrate metabolism, insulin secretion, and signs of insulin resistance. The package allows assessment of the current blood glucose level, average glycemic levels over the previous months, pancreatic β-cell function, and the presence of abnormalities in glucose metabolism.

What does the package assess ?
Blood glucose reflects the blood glucose level at the time of testing and is used to detect abnormalities in carbohydrate metabolism.
Urine glucose helps determine the presence of glucosuria, which may occur in cases of significant hyperglycemia and certain disorders of kidney function.
Urinalysis complements the assessment of the urinary system and helps detect changes that may accompany metabolic disorders.
Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) reflects the average blood glucose level over approximately the previous 2–3 months and is used for the diagnosis and monitoring of diabetes mellitus.
Insulin reflects the concentration of endogenous insulin in the blood and, together with the glucose level, may be used to assess insulin resistance.
HOMA-IR index is calculated based on fasting glucose and insulin levels and is used as an approximate laboratory indicator of insulin resistance. It should be interpreted taking into account the clinical presentation and the laboratory’s reference ranges.
C-peptide reflects endogenous insulin secretion by the pancreatic β-cells and helps assess their functional reserve.
