Sexually transmitted diseases as a cause of impotence in men

Syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia and many other diseases caused by sexually transmitted infections occupy an important place in the overall structure of the incidence of infectious diseases, and at the same time have a pronounced tendency to progress.

A lot has already been said about the danger of these diseases, but it is worth mentioning separately such a consequence as impotence. So, we know that an undetected and untreated STI can have a lot of unpleasant consequences for the body, including numerous inflammatory diseases: cystitis, prostatitis, epididymitis, adnexitis, orchitis and many others. At the same time, one of the most common complications is prostatitis.

Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate gland (prostate) that you may not even know about. The thing is that the symptoms of this disease (severity and dull pain in the lower abdomen, problems with urination) can almost disappear without a trace soon after their initial appearance, however, this does not indicate a cure, but the transition of the disease to a chronic form, which is very dangerous, and will periodically remind itself. Such an inconspicuous course is very insidious and is the first step towards impotence.

According to statistics, every third man suffering from chronic prostatitis has problems associated with premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. At the same time, erectile dysfunction in prostatitis progresses over several years. First, premature ejaculation appears, then problems with erection are added directly to it, then there is a decrease in libido – sexual desire. And eventually impotence can develop – erectile dysfunction.

Although a lot has already been said about the danger of STD, many men still ignore and trigger these diseases, which leads to extremely sad consequences.

Patient, remember! That at the slightest risk of developing an STD (for example, after unprotected sex), or with minimal suspicion, you should seek medical help. After all, the earlier the disease is diagnosed, the higher the probability of a complete cure, and, accordingly, the chance of avoiding many complications, including impotence, increases significantly.

We remind you that urine PCR analysis has been introduced in the OLYMP CDL, especially for men! Now you do not need to scrape from the urethra, because the first portion of morning urine as a biomaterial for analysis in males carries all the necessary information for the diagnosis of STDs, and in its diagnostic sensitivity and specificity is in no way inferior to the analysis of urethral scraping.

The OLYMP branches of independent laboratories make urine PCR analysis using modern high-precision analyzers that allow for the highest accuracy in diagnosis. You can contact any of the 180 treatment rooms of the OLYMP CDL  on the territory of the through of Kazakhstan, in order to make urine PCR analysis, it is a universal, highly accurate diagnostic method that allows you to "negate" unpleasant sensations that could not be avoided before.
