Specialists from the OLYMP laboratory participated in the preparation of the scientific publication: Ye.M. Suleimenov, P.A. Sibiryakov, and O.A. Samigatova.

Publication in a Nature Portfolio journal confirms the scientific significance of the examination and the contribution of Kazakhstani specialists to the study of genetic factors in cancer.

What the examination is about

The work is devoted to the test of the molecular characteristics of breast tumors in patients with BRCA1/BRCA2 gene mutations.

The examination revealed the characteristics of the disease progression and prognostic factors in the population of Kazakhstan, which is important for the development of personalized cancer diagnosis and therapy.

The results obtained may contribute to:

  • improving risk stratification in patients;
  • optimizing approaches to monitoring and treatment;
  • developing genetic testing in oncology.
