A comprehensive set of laboratory tests for assessing cardiovascular and metabolic risk. The package allows simultaneous assessment of lipid metabolism, the atherogenic potential of lipoproteins, the presence of chronic low-grade inflammation, carbohydrate metabolism, and laboratory markers of increased cardiac workload.
The test may be used for the initial assessment of the risk of developing atherosclerotic cardiovascular diseases, diabetes mellitus, and heart failure, as well as for the dynamic monitoring of patients with established risk factors.
What does the package assess ?
Triglycerides, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol characterize the main parameters of lipid metabolism and are used to assess the risk of developing atherosclerosis.
Apolipoprotein A1 is the main protein of anti-atherogenic high-density lipoproteins, while apolipoprotein B reflects the number of potentially atherogenic lipoprotein particles.
ApoB measurement provides an additional assessment of cardiovascular risk, including situations in which a standard lipid profile does not fully reflect the atherogenic burden.
Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) reflects the average blood glucose level over approximately the previous 2-3 months and is used for the diagnosis and monitoring of carbohydrate metabolism disorders.
High-sensitivity C-reactive protein (Cardio CRP) helps assess low-grade systemic inflammation, which is considered an additional cardiovascular risk factor.
NT-proBNP is a biomarker of hemodynamic stress on the myocardium. It is used in the diagnostic algorithm for heart failure and for the assessment of patients with relevant clinical symptoms.
The atherogenic index is calculated based on lipid profile parameters and characterizes the ratio of atherogenic to anti-atherogenic lipids.
