"Oncology" Profile for Males
A comprehensive laboratory test designed to assess the levels of the main tumor markers associated with tumors of various organs and systems in men.
The profile includes the following parameters:
- AFP (alpha-fetoprotein) - used to assess liver diseases and certain tumor processes.
- CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) - a marker used primarily in the assessment of tumor processes of the gastrointestinal tract.
- CA 19-9 - may be used as part of a comprehensive assessment of diseases of the pancreas and gastrointestinal tract.
- CA 72-4 - used as part of the comprehensive assessment of gastric diseases.
- CYFRA 21-1 - a marker that may be used in the assessment of tumor processes of the lungs and urinary bladder.
- Neuron-specific enolase (NSE) - used in the comprehensive assessment of certain tumors of the nervous and endocrine systems, as well as the lungs.
- Total PSA (sensitive) - a parameter used to assess the condition of the prostate gland.
- Free PSA - an additional parameter for a more detailed assessment of changes in PSA levels and prostate status.
- S100 - a protein used in the comprehensive assessment of certain diseases, including suspected melanoma.
- CA 242 - a tumor marker used primarily in the comprehensive assessment of tumor processes of the colon and rectum, as well as the gastrointestinal tract.
