New! CD138 Immunohistochemical study
OLIMP СDL is expanding its range of immunohistochemical tests and introduces a new study - CD138 expression assessment by immunohistochemistry (IHC). CD138 (syndecan-1) is a specific marker of plasma cells and is widely used in the diagnosis of chronic endometritis. The identification of CD138-positive plasma cells in the endometrium improves the accuracy of diagnosing inflammatory processes and helps physicians determine the most appropriate patient management strategy. When is this test recommended ? Suspected chronic endometritis; Infertility of unknown origin; Repeated unsuccessful IVF attempts; Recurrent pregnancy loss; Evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment for chronic endometritis. Biomaterial The study is performed using endometrial biopsy specimens, aspirates, or curettage samples prepared as paraffin blocks. Advantages of the test high specificity for the detection of plasma cells; improved diagnostic accuracy compared with routine histological examination; assistance in diagnosing chronic endometrial inflammation and assessing its activity.
